Despite this, I did decide to include a short podcast on storytelling because it’s very important especially in the online marketing space where the most valuable commodity is attention. Your skills in storytelling cant wait or take a backseat if you want to connect and resonate with your mass.
Story telling refers to how you talk about your business. How you connect with your prospects and your customers. To easily sum up what storytelling is and how it relates to your business and customers I’m going to borrow a quote from Donald Miller’s book Build a story brand:
“In every line of copy we write, we’re either serving the customer’s story or descending into confusion; we’re either making music or making noise.”
Today I want to address your story telling in your social media posts specifically. I’m talking about Facebook posts, ads and Instagram posts.
Now let’s stalk about some elements of storytelling that you should start being aware of even at the early stages of your online ventures.
This is a very brief discussion on the important and elements of storytelling. I want to encourage you to pick up Donald miller’s book on the story brand. This podcast is of course not a summary of that book but focuses more on your storytelling on Facebook and Instagram where your main goal is to capture the attention of the mass with your storytelling first and then turn their interest to desire.
